Watering A Hibiscus Plant
Hibiscus love water. They are a tropical plant and are use to areas that the air is humid with allot of rainfall.
Watering a hibiscus plant is done differently in hot weather than in cold weather. In hot weather a hibiscus plant needs allot of water and a steady supply. Keep the soil moist, for potted plants avoid allowing the plant to stand in a saucer full of water. In hot weather a hibiscus will show signs of witting if they aren't receiving enough water.
Cold weather watering can invite the danger of fungus disease to attack the root system of hibiscus. Cold , wet conditions are the ideal environment to encourage the growth of fungus disease. Only give the plant enough water to survive. Letting the soil get too dry is better than over watering.
Keeping the plants root system warm during the cold season will help prevent the problem of fungus disease to develop.
