Starting To Plant - Check What Hardness Zone You Are
by John Yazo
Spring is the time to start planting most organic gardens. Consideration needs to taken about the temperatures in your area and which plants can be started at what times. Some plants or seeds can be planted earlier than others because they can tolerate frost or seeds wont germinate and seedlings wont emerge until after all dangers of frost have past. Checking a hardness zone map to see what area you are in and learn what plants and seeds can be planted at what times.
Plants like peas, broccoli and spinach are plants that can tolerate the cold weather. They can be planted earlier than crops like tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. Check the direction on the back of the seed packets and on the tags with transplants to learn what time the seeds or plants can be planted.
