Choosing the Style of Organic Garden You Want to Grow

by John Yazo

Choosing the style garden you want to grow can be a challenge at times. The ideas and types of gardens to choose from are just about endless. Whether it be in a country setting with plenty of land, an urban garden in the city with limited space to an apartment with no land at all, there is a garden that can be grown.

Any garden starts with a good plan by putting special thought into what crops you want to grow. Putting a list of the plants you want and organizing the list by annual or perennial, the space each plant needs, the soil type each prefer, moisture they need, date they need to be planted and the length of time from planting to when they will mature for harvest.

Once your list is prepared, it should tell you how much room will be needed to grow your crops. Mapping out your garden or gardens will determine on what you can grow and where. When planning, keep in mind that it doesn't have to be one garden. With the proper planning by mapping out your garden, you can divide them into different types or styles like, containers, window boxes, raised beds, mini-gardens, or the traditional row method of gardening.

Getting creative with a mixture of different type gardens in several location of your yard can add the personal touch to your landscape that you where looking for. Take the time to plan, your imagination is the limit in what you can create.
