Don't Work For Your Garden, Let Your Garden Work For You

Gardening is something that shouldn't be thought of as a chore. Having a garden that thrives with a highly productive healthy crop doesn't mean it has to be a lot of work. Gardening is meant to be a delightful, peaceful time spent with nature.

Organic gardening is a method of gardening when planed out properly isn't a job. If you are fighting to keep up with maintaining your garden then you need to take a step back and reduce the size. Having a garden that is to big to handle will only discourage you and waste your time. You will get more productivity out of a smaller garden that you can handle.

There are also many methods that you can use to cut the amount of physical labor to put into your garden. If watering is taking up a lot of your time then use methods like soaker hoses. These hoses don't even have to be hooked up to a house faucet, you can place rain barrels in different locations of your garden to hook the hoses to. Mulching with organic matter like leaves and grass clippings is a great way to suppress the weeds in your garden while replenishing the nutrients back into the soil for your plants to benefit from. Building a soil with plenty of organic matter over the years will allow you to use the method of no-till gardening.

There are many you can save time and labor when organic gardening. Put the labor where it is needed most, enjoying the beauty of your garden and nature.
