Tropical hibiscus plants like warm temperatures and are suitable to be grown indoors. Growing hibiscus indoors is not very difficult and they can live a long productive life. It is not uncommon for a hibiscus to live thirty, forty years or more with the proper care.

The soil they like the best is a loamy soil with organic matter that is well drained so the soil doesn't retain to much moisture between waterings.
