Some of these include vegetables like beans, onions, tomatoes and lettuce along with herbs like, dill, garlic, rosemary and mint. There are even flowers that will repel pest from your garden like, marigolds and petunias to name just a couple.
With companion planting the main purpose is usually for pest control. There are more benefits with this method of planting than just to control the pest in your garden. It can also enhance the growth and development of your crops.
There are many ways that pests can be controlled in your garden even by the use of plants that you grow. Hot pepper sprays from hot peppers and garlic is one type of a spray that can be made and there are herbal sprays that can be made from tansy, lavender and sage.
Companion planting is a natural and healthy way to control pest in your garden and can add dimension to your landscape and garden.
