Germination Test

If you have any second thoughts about the seeds you saved being to old or any good you can test them to see if they will germinate. All you need to do is take 6 or 8 seeds and put them on a cloth, lay the cloth on a plate then soak them lightly with warm water. Keep them in a warm place and don't let them dry out. Keep the cloth moist at all times. In anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on the variety you will see them germinate. If only a couple germinate then the seed are too weak and not good. If half germinate the the seeds will be ok but you will have to sow the seeds a lot heavier than you normally would have. If all or most of the seeds germinate you have strong healthy seeds and will have no problem.
