If you have them in your area late summer into fall is the usual time that berry plants will reproduce smaller plants in the soil around them. These plants can be relocated in the fall into your garden and will bloom into a healthy plant the following year.
The most common pest that you will have with any type of berry is birds.Birds go crazy over berries and the only way that they can be prevented from attacking your entire crop is by fencing in and netting the area. If you are a bird lover and want birds in your yard you can easily plant a few plants outside the fenced area just for them.
