Composting is the recycling of organic household, yard and garden waste by turning it into a humus that is very beneficial to your garden soil and plants. It regenerates poor soil by encouraging micro-organisms that in return break down the organic matter into a material full of nutrients, airy, and having the ability to hold water.
Manure composting along with composting leaves, spent weeds, grass clippings and other organic household will produce a nutrient rich humus that can be added as a soil amendment to your garden or as an organic fertilizer.
The use of compost as a soil amendment in your garden improves the structure of the soil and reduces the need for water, fertilizer and pesticides.
Compost can also be used as a mulch to help retain moisture. It will also help to suppress plant disease and pests in your garden and is a great way to recycle.
