Aeroponic Gardening

by John Yazo

Aeroponic gardening is a great method to use for an indoor garden. It is a method that doesn't require a lot of room and there is no soil needed to grow a highly productive crop. Similar to the hydroponic method of gardening it supplies nutrients directly to the plants you are growing.

This method of growing plants is done by heavily misting the root systems of the plants you are growing with a nutrient rich mist solution. The root systems of these plants are not submerged in water, they are suspended in the air. It is considered a variation of hydroponic gardening.

The equipment that is used for this method of gardening needs to contain a circulation of mist constantly in a controlled environment. This environment can be either a fully enclosed or partially enclose system, depending on what you are growing. In this type of an environment there is less chance for plant disease and problems with pests. Also these systems have a pump that is adjustable to control the level of humidity and air flow for the environment inside the chamber and a timer so the the misting of the nutrient solution can be set to the required condition needed. These systems are fairly basic and can be tricky to build on your own, but it can be done.

A great eco-friendly and a cost effective method of gardening that can produce a high yielding healthy crop. They are an ideal method to use for a kitchen garden, to growing crops for your everyday needs.
